When you opt into our SMS campaign, we may collect the following personal information:
Phone Number: To send you text messages related to the research program.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as financial details or Social Security numbers, through SMS.

Sending study-related reminders, updates, or notifications.
Providing information relevant to your participation and pathway learning.
Your information will not be sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes.
4. SMS Frequency and Opt-Out Option
You will receive daily texts related to your 720 Health pathway while you are enrolled in the program (12 weeks from your opt-in date).
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message. After opting out, you will no longer receive messages from us.

5. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please note that SMS messages are not encrypted, and we recommend avoiding sharing sensitive information via text.

Your phone number and any SMS-related data will be retained only for the duration of the research program. After the study concludes, we will securely delete or anonymize your information in accordance with UCSD’s data retention policies. This excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will npot be shared with any third parties.

We may use third-party SMS service providers to deliver messages. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and comply with applicable privacy laws.

As a participant, you have the right to:
